Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has decided to send Rene Howe back to Peterborough United after leaving the striker out of the side for last weekend's game against Exeter City for disciplinary reasons.
The 22-year-old had been on a season-long loan stint at Christie Park scoring 12 goals in 41 appearances for the Shrimps.
McIlroy had said after leaving the former Kettering Town striker out of the starting line-up for the 2-2 draw at St James Park: "We decided to leave Rene out of the trip because of a breach of club discipline.
"It's an issue that we'll deal with internally as a club."
