Morecambe striker Rene Howe was left out of the Shrimps squad for Saturday's game at Exeter City for disciplinary reasons.
The 22-year-old former Kettering Town and Rochdale striker has scored 12 goals in 41 appearances for the club this season but played no part in the 2-2 draw at St James Park.
Boss Sammy McIlroy said: "We decided to leave Rene out of the trip because of a breach of club discipline.
"It's an issue that we'll deal with internally as a club.''
