Duo strike as Shrimps beat Quakers

After two successive defeats Sammy McIlroy's side returned to winning ways thanks to a goal in each half from Jevons and Mullin. Jevons opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he finished superbly after running on to Laurence Wilson's through ball. Mullin doubled the advantage in the 58th minute when he stabbed the loose ball past Shane Redmond from 12 yards out at full stretch. Darlington's best effort came just before the break when Alan White's close-range header was superbly tipped away by Barry Roche, and Tadgh Purcell was denied a late consolation by another fine Roche save.
