Midfielder Mark Duffy has signed a two-year contract to seal his permanent move to Morecambe from Southport. The 23-year-old joined the Shrimps on loan in March and scored once in nine appearances in the season just ended. Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy told the club's official website: "Everyone knows Mark is a player I've admired for a long time and I think he has a great future in the game. "He has already shown us that he has a lot to offer with quick feet and a good attitude and I am delighted to have him at Christie Park." Last week McIlroy allowed Matt Bell, Matt Blinkhorn, Michael Howard, Diarmuid O'Carroll and Adam Yates to leave the club.
