Defender Adams leaves Morecambe

Morecambe have released defender Danny Adams from his contract with the League Two club.The 34-year-old, whose deal was set to expire in the summer, helped the Shrimps win promotion to the Football League for the first time in 2007. "Danny's now at the stage of his career in which he needs to be playing football," boss Sammy McIlroy told BBC Radio Lancashire.
