Clash off over Carlton issue

Carlisle United have pulled out of pre-season friendly with Morecambe as the wrangle over the signing of Danny Carlton rumbles on.
Carlton, 23, agreed a two-year contract with the Cumbrians after scoring the winning goal in the Shrimps' Conference play-off final victory in May.
The two clubs have yet to agree a fee for the striker and Morecambe vice-chairman Graham Hodgson has revealed the League One club have cancelled a planned match on July 17.
"It's a shame Carlisle decided to pull out," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"The transfer is ongoing, but we didn't see it would have had any bearing on the relationship between the clubs."
