Boss targets loan signings

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is considering entering the loan market to bolster his squad following the departures of Craig Stanley and Will Haining. Midfielder Stanley and defender Haining have joined Torquay and Fleetwood respectively on loan deals, but McIlroy will look to offset their departures with a couple of new faces. He said: "I am looking at a couple more signings when the loan market opens up again but to bring in new players I have to let players leave and make important decisions such as letting people like Craig Stanley and Will Haining go out on loan. "Craig has played a massive part in our success over the past few years but these are the decisions managers have to make and that is what we get paid for."
