Bentley: Campbell deserves respect

The former England international was given a rough ride at Christie Park last Saturday as goals from Bentley and Paul Mullin ensured the Shrimps a 2-1 win. Campbell then quit the Magpies on Wednesday, just five weeks after signing a five-year contract reportedly worth in the region of £40,000 a week. Bentley said: "It was great to have been on the field with someone like that and he was right in his post-match comments that teams like Morecambe deserve respect week in week out. "But he has obviously decided in the last few days that life in League Two is not for him and we have to respect that opinion."
