Former Macclesfield and Huddersfield Town defender Danny Adams is confident Morecambe will survive their first season in the Football league after penning a two-year deal with the Shrimps.
The 31-year-old moved to Christie Park on a short-term deal in January and featured in 19 games as Sammy McIlroy's clinched promotion from the Conference via the play-offs.
"We like to play football and that might surprise a few teams," Adams told the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen.
"I think in the Conference there are certain games where you can get something without playing well, that isn't the case in the League.
"The games will be tough week in week out and we'll come up against players with more experience.
"That said I think we'll surprise a few sides and I'm looking forward to the challenge.''
