Adams agrees Shrimps stay

Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has persuaded Danny Adams to pen a new one-year contract extension with the club.

The influential former Stockport County and Huddersfield Town player will remain at Christie Park until the end of next season.

McIlroy told the Shrimps' official website: "Danny's been a fantastic player for this club and his experience has been vital since we joined the Football League.

"He showed on Saturday what an important member of the squad he is and I'm glad he's committed himself to the club for another year.''
