Montrose kept up their promotion hopes with a thrilling win over Third Division rivals Stenhousemuir. Player-manager Steven Tweed and Craig O'Reilly helped Montrose into a 2-0 half-time lead before Stenny's Robert Love pulled one back on 56 minutes. O'Reilly's second and a double by Roddy Hunter put the home side 5-1 up with nine minutes remaining. But John Ovenstone's header and Love's second reduced the visitors' deficit late in the match.
