Both sides hit the woodwork as Montrose and Annan Athletic had to settle for a point at Links Park.Paul Watson came close for the home side early on with a 40-yard drive that Greg Kelly saved at full stretch. Alan Campbell then headed against Annan's crossbar and the visitors were denied the opener after the break when Andy McNeil saved from Graeme Bell.
