Double injury blow for Montrose

Paul Watson and Ross McCord will be missing for Montrose when they host Stirling.

Watson has a groin injury while McCord is struggling with a knee problem. Some good news for the Gable Endies see the return of experienced striker Chris Templeman after an ankle issue.

Montrose manager Paul Hegarty said: "We were blown away by the start East Fife made last weekend and we need to get into this game quicker.

"Stirling thumped us 7-0 in our last meeting and our display that night still rankles with me. I am hoping that we can show that we are a much better side than that in this game. I also want us to finish higher than ninth and the only way we can do that is if we win games."

Stirling have Craig Comrie available again after suspension but Scott Buist continues to be absent with a groin injury.

Last Saturday's goalless draw with Elgin has ended the Forthbank side's play-off chase but assistant manager Martyn Corrigan is not looking for a quiet end to the season.

He said: "We knew before the Elgin game that it would take a miracle to make the play-offs. Unfortunately it never arrived but we do not want to finish on a low and are looking to win our remaining games.

"Montrose are improved but our plans for next season start now and want to be going into it on a high."
