Montrose wait on ill duo

Montrose will give Lloyd Young and Scott Johnston as long as possible to prove their fitness before the clash with Stirling Albion after they missed training earlier in the week having been laid low with illness.

Defender Paul Lunan remains out with an ankle injury with manager Stuart Garden warning his side not to be fooled by Stirling's bottom of the table position.

Garden explained: "They will be coming here boosted by two wins in a row. That will have given them a fair degree of confidence and they also have a number of very good players as well.

"We are in fourth place at the moment and I want us to go on and cement our place in the top four by winning games starting against Stirling."

Stirling make the trip without last Saturday's match-winner Jordan White through suspension.

Defender Gary Thom has been cleared to play though after the SFA confirmed that he has only picked up five bookings this season and not the six they advised recently.

Stirling, boosted by two home wins in a row and determined to win away for the first time this season, are without Jamie Clark, Danny Ashe and Gavin McPherson who all have knocks.

"Montrose can score goals but so can we and this should be a very open game as a result," boss Greig McDonald said.

"We have two good wins from two good performances and we want to build on that. It would be good to break our away duck but it will not be easy as Montrose have looked strong this season."
