Travis not driftwood any more

Montrose are set to include former Livingston and Arbroath defender Michael Travis against Queen's Park.

Travis had been on trial at Forfar recently before joining Montrose and the Gable Endies also have Craig Bell and Alan Campbell available as they look to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at East Fife last weekend.

Boss George Shields said: "It looks like a heavy loss but there was nothing between the sides until just before half-time. They got a goal and that knocked us out of our stride.

"If we can take the chances we are creating we can get something from this game."

The Queen's Park treatment room has cleared significantly with Scott Gibson, Vinny Berry and James Baty given the green light to play.

Ross Gallagher is the only absentee with an ankle injury with boss Gus McPherson saying: "The last time we played Montrose they were hit with the triple whammy of giving away a penalty, having their goalkeeper sent off and us scoring after just two minutes.

"We controlled the game after that and I am sure they will want to show us a different side to their game this time."
