Montrose look to derail Shire

Montrose meet Scottish League Two leaders East Stirling for the first time this season and will be without on-loan St Johnstone defender Gareth Rodger due to a hamstring injury.

Alan Campbell's ankle injury sees him miss out and work commitments keep Lloyd Young away from the action, with manager Stuart Garden looking for his men to put last week's disappointing afternoon behind them.

Garden said: "We were poor last week at Stirling and deservedly lost 3-1. I have not been too critical as the players had been doing well.

"Hopefully we can get back to the standard we know we can produce although it will not be easy against good and experienced opponents."

East Stirling defender Rhys Devlin is included in head coach John Coughlin's squad for the first time in over a year after a serious knee injury.

It is not all good news for the Shire boss, though, as Paul Quinn (groin), Jamie Glasgow (thigh), Nathan Shepherd (knee) and Max Wright (hamstring) all miss out.

Coughlin said: "We are going to Montrose on the back of losing a late goal against Queen's Park that cost us a win. We need to put that behind us and beat a Montrose side who are strong at home.

"We have been leading the table all season and do not want to lose control of it."
