Shields still at helm for Montrose

Montrose host Clyde under the control of assistant manager George Shields for a second game following Stuart Garden's dismissal.

Shields oversaw a 1-1 draw with bottom side Queen's Park and goes in search of a first win without the suspended Paul Watson and Callum Ferguson, who has a knee injury.

Shields said: "I was pleased with the boys for coming back and getting an equaliser at Queen's Park last week. In previous games we never looked like recovering after losing a goal but hopefully we can build on the spirit that was shown.

"Clyde have a lot to play for but so does everyone at Montrose as we want to finish higher up the table than eighth."

Ian Gray and Bradley Coyne's knee injuries mean they miss out for Clyde, who will secure a play-off place with a win.

The Bully Wee have doubts over Kieran MacDonald and Stuart McColm but Ryan MacBeth and Kevin Watt are available again.

Manager Jim Duffy is looking for his side to add a cutting edge to their game to ensure they extend their season.

Duffy said: "We lost to Peterhead last week and the major difference between the sides was their ability to take chances. We need to be as ruthless as they were as Montrose will play with a freedom that will see them attack us."
