Watson and McCord out for Montrose

Montrose are again without the injured Paul Watson (groin) and Ross McCord (knee) as they look for a first success over Annan this season.

The Gable Endies have recorded back-to-back draws against the visitors so far this season, and could move sixth in the Scottish League Two table with a win.

Manager Paul Hegarty said: "We go into this game after securing a very good point up at Elgin where we showed a lot of determination to come back from a goal down. In our last 11 games we have won four and drawn five however there is still a job to be completed in terms of avoiding the relegation play-off place.

"Hopefully we can beat Annan and be three points closer to doing that. It will be tough as they still have promotion aims."

Annan will be without the suspended Steven Swinglehurst at Links Park, while Jack Breslin misses out due to international duty.

Bryan Gilfillan (calf) remains out, leading manager Jim Chapman to admit that his side's title push is at an end.

Chapman said: "Losing to Clyde in midweek has meant that the title is beyond us which is disappointing however getting into the promotion play-offs is possible.

"Winning at Montrose would help us hit that target however they are very strong at home and will not just roll over and give us the win. We will need to earn it."
