Plenty to play for at Links Park

Montrose will look to pull level with visitors Albion in the race for a play-off place when the sides meet at Links Park.

However, they will again be missing on-loan Dundee United defender Luke Johnston, who has a hip injury. Calum Ferguson is struggling to make the clash too after picking up a knock in training.

Manager Stuart Garden said: "Whilst it was good to score late and get a point at Clyde last Saturday, draws are hurting our promotion push.

"It would be good to get the three points from Albion Rovers and we will be going out and being positive to try and win them."

Albion play their final game before facing Rangers in the William Hill Scottish Cup at Ibrox next weekend with midfielder Liam Cusack ruled out with a toe problem.

Manager James Ward will make changes after an energy-sapping 1-0 win in midweek.

He explained: "We did really well to beat Clyde but the game was played on a really heavy pitch and we have a few tired legs after it.

"Links Park is a difficult venue and Montrose will be looking to win this game to get into the play-off hunt so I will be putting out a side with the freshest legs."
