Montrose extend Annan's winless run
Managerless Montrose beat promotion hopefuls Annan Athletic 2-1 at Links Park thanks to goals from Bryan Deasley and Gary Wood.
Top-scorer Deasley gave the Gabie Endies the lead in the 29th minute when his right-footed strike beat Annan goalkeeper Kenny Arthur from six yards.
Annan striker David Hopkirk equalised in the 74th minute when he latched onto a back-heel from Blair Henderson and fired low into the Montrose goal.
But Montrose were not to be denied as Gary Wood scored from the left side of the penalty area just two minutes later.
Jim Chapman's Annan side remain in second place going into their last game but are now without a win in three as they approach the play-offs.
