Darren Smith's hat-trick fires Stirling to victory at Montrose
Darren Smith was the toast of Stirling after his hat-trick sealed a 3-1 win at Montrose - a sixth win in seven games.
The striker put the Binos in front early on after profiting from a fine run and pass by Mark Lamont.
Smith doubled his tally shortly after the break, slamming a clinical shot past Jordan Millar after a terrific pass by Sean Dickson to unlock the defence.
The same combination effectively wrapped up the points with half an hour to go. Smith had to be quick to get to the ball ahead of the advancing goalkeeper.
Adrian Mallagaray gave the home fans some cheer with a smart consolation strike from 18 yards.
