Cowdenbeath hit back to see off Montrose

Cowdenbeath earned their second victory of the Ladbrokes Scottish League Two season, coming from behind to beat winless Montrose 2-1 at Links Park.

An even first half fittingly finished level despite goals in the last two minutes of normal time.

Montrose went ahead when Gary Fraser found the bottom-right corner with a penalty after Nikolay Todorov fouled Gary Fraser. But Gary Glen's close-range header restored parity.

Kriss Renton tapped home from close range to put the visitors ahead nine minutes after the break. Montrose threatened little thereafter although at the death Terry Masson hit the bar with a shot from the edge of the area.
