MacLeod at the doube
A brace from substitute Adam MacLeod gave Elgin their first win in six Scottish League Two matches to put a dent in Montrose's play-off hopes in a 3-0 win with just five games remaining.
After a first half that went to form, it was Elgin who took a surprise lead through top scorer Shane Sutherland's 14th goal of the season with their first real attempt on goal.
The second half was a more even affair, with a series of substitutions breaking up what flow their was to the game.
However, one of the substitutes for Elgin had a huge impact, with MacLeod coming on and grabbing two goals in 10 minutes to double his goal tally for the season.
First he converted Craig Gunn's pass in the 74th minute and then 11 minutes later finished off Shane Sutherland's assist.
