    Wright woe for Dons

    21 Feb 2008 - 14:28:32

MK Dons winger Mark Wright is set to endure several weeks on the sidelines after it was confirmed that he tore a hamstring in training recently.

The 25-year-old former Walsall star missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy success at Swansea City with the problem and physio Simon Crampton has confirmed the severity of the injury.

He told the club's official website: "Wrighty sustained an injury in training to one of his hamstring muscles in his right leg.

"It's a muscle that runs over two joints which makes it slightly more prone to injury and it's not uncommon in explosive sports.

"We've had a scan carried out on the injury which shows a minor grade two strain which is a partial tear of the muscle.

"We've put him into accelerated rehab for the next few weeks and hope to get him back in the quickest yet safest possible time."
