MK Dons' assistant manager Ray Mathias has admitted he is excited about the prospect of playing at Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final after Monday's dramatic victory against Swansea City.
The Dons lost the second leg of the southern area final against their League One opponents 1-0 to make the aggregate score 1-1, but won a penalty shootout to set up a final date with either Grimsby Town or Morecambe on March 30.
Mathias said after the game: "As staff we've given it a bit of a low profile in the last few weeks, but now we're there it's very exciting I assure you.
"It was a difficult game against Swansea, but over the two games we feel we've had one half at their place and two halves here that we totally dominated.
"We've won a game we fully deserved and we're going to Wembley."
