Robinson: We stuck at it

Published: 04 Sep 2010 - 15:30:20

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson felt his side's patience paid off as they beat Hartlepool 1-0.Lewis Guy's neat finish settled a tight affair, although Pools could have earned a point had they received a late penalty when Antony Sweeney went down under Sean O'Hanlon's challenge. But Robinson felt his side were worthy of the points, thanks to their weight of possession,He said: "I thought we retained the ball better than them and created enough chances to have been well out in front."But good teams persist and good teams do the right things for a long period of time. I thought we rode our luck later on in the game but I thought we deserved that little bit of luck."It was a good professional job and we worked hard for the win."
