Puncheon makes Dons return

MK Dons have secured the loan signing of Jason Puncheon in a season-long agreement with Plymouth Argyle.

The midfielder appeared 29 times for the Dons in the 2008-09 season and new manager Paul Ince has been understood to be chasing a deal to bring him back to stadium:mk for several weeks.

The 23-year-old was a £250,000 signing by Argyle last year but has struggled to achieve first-team football in the Championship.

Puncheon will now begin a fourth spell with the club. He was a part of the original Dons squad of 2004, before being loaned to the League One side twice last term.

"Once we found out that Jason wanted to come back here, me and the chairman have been working hard behind the scenes to make it happen," Ince told the Dons' official website.

"There were other clubs in for Jason, but he wanted to come and play for Milton Keynes Dons and that just shows what type of lad he is.

"If we can get him playing well he's a top quality player. He's got bundles of ability and he's the type of player we need at this club to take it forward."
