No excuses from Lewington

MK Dons captain Dean Lewington refused to make any excuses after the 2-1 home defeat to Leyton Orient.

Roberto di Matteo's side are starting to feel the pressure of being the League One pace-setters with the O's loss being their fourth game without a win.

Lewington said: "We worked on the formation during the week, so maybe it did slightly hamper us a bit and maybe the players we had didn't quite fit their position - a square pegs for round holes sort of thing.

"But you can't make that excuse, we had a lead and we just need to do better to hang on to it.

"You shouldn't lose a lead and it has happened a few too many times now."
