MK Dons assistant manager Ray Mathias was delighted with his side's performance in the 2-1 victory at Chesterfield which took them back to the top of League Two.
Goals from Keith Andrews and Lloyd Dyer were enough for the Dons to take all three points at Saltergate and edge ahead of Peterborough United.
Mathias told the club's official website: "It was a difficult game for us. Chesterfield pressed the ball very well and made life difficult for us, but I thought we went out and played some very good football.
"The pitch was excellent which allowed us to get the ball down and pass it and we got the goals at important times.
"The response we got to conceding a goal was absolutely brilliant, to go straight down the other end and score ourselves was fantastic."
