Lewington banned for Cobblers clash

Published: 09 Nov 2009 - 13:36:56

Lewington begins a two-match suspension after being charged by the Football Association with the use of abusive and/or insulting language following an incident during the 1-0 defeat to Leeds on September 26. Top scorer Jermaine Easter is also absent after he was added to the Wales squad while midfielder Stephen Gleeson is away with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s. Martin Devaney picked up a dead leg against Macclesfield at the weekend but Danny Woodards could make a long-awaited return from his ankle problems. Defender Danny Swailes is struggling with the illness which forced him to miss the FA Cup win over his former side on Saturday while Jude Stirling (groin), Sean O'Hanlon (knee) and Jemal Johnson (calf) are all out.
