Leven pledges future to Dons

Former Chesterfield midfielder Peter Leven has committed his future to MK Dons by penning a new two-year contract with the League One promotion-hunters.

The 25-year-old Scot, who will now remain with the club until June 2011, is delighted with the news.

He told the club's official website: "I'm over the moon to be staying here.

"The negotiations have been going on for a few weeks, but I always wanted to sign for Milton Keynes. It's great to know I'll be here for another two-and-a-half years.

"There's only one direction this club is going and that's up. Milton Keynes is a great place to be at the moment and I'm happy to be settling down now, with my contract sorted, and concentrating on playing football."
