MK Dons boss Paul Ince returned to former club Macclesfield Town to sign defender Carl Regan on deadline day.
The 27-year-old has joined the League Two leaders for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month contract.
Regan played under Ince during his time as Macclesfield manager last season.
"I'm absolutely made up to be here," he told the club's official website.
"I've been following MK Dons all season with Paul Ince being my old manager and they've been going from strength to strength.
"I got the phone call at about half-past-seven to get down here and sign so I got in the car and got here as quick as I could."
