Ince heaps praise on Baldock

MK Dons manager Paul Ince has lauded young striker Sam Baldock following his impressive brace of goals in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against Northampton Town. The Dons stormed into a 3-0 half-time lead and this was aided by Baldock's sublime finish and a penalty which put the contest out of sight. Although the visitors pulled a goal back in the second half, Baldock received the plaudits from his manager, who likened him to an England great. Speaking to the club's official website, Ince said: "Sam's one of those players that, when he's one-on-one, you always feel like he's going to score. "He reminds me a bit of Michael Owen, when he was one-on-one I always felt he would hit the back of the net and Sam gives me that kind of confidence."
