Ince happy after Dons triumph
31 Mar 2008 - 09:18:49
MK Dons boss Paul Ince says he is more than happy to stay with the League Two club, following their Wembley success in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.
Goals from Keith Andrews and Sean O'Hanlon gave the Dons a 2-0 victory over Grimsby Town, with Ince now looking to clinch promotion to seal a superb season for his side.
He said: "There have been situations that we are all aware of where clubs have approached our chairman to talk to me, but he has made it worth my while not to go anywhere else.
"We have a three or four-year plan where we feel we can take this club into the Championship.
"You look at Bristol City now and Stoke and they have got a real chance of getting into the Premier League, so that shows you what can be achieved.
"But that's in the future. If clubs come in for you as a player or as a manager, then you have that decision to make whether to stay or to go.
"At this moment in time I'm happy to stay."
