Ince angry with Dons players

MK Dons manager Paul Ince has reacted angrily to his team's disappointing 5-0 weekend defeat at Carlisle United which damaged their play-off challenge.

It ended a miserable week for the stadium:mk outfit after crashing out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Area Final at the hands of League One rivals Southampton.

Ince has apologised to the club's fans that made the long journey north and has warned his squad that a repeat performance will not be acceptable.

He said: "It's been a terrible day.

"I thought we started the game quite brightly, they had to clear two off the line, but defensively we were poor.

"I've told the players they've let themselves down, they've let the club down and they've let the fans down.

"All I can do is apologise to the supporters that made the long journey.

"That performance was not acceptable and the players been told that in no uncertain terms."
