Gorman delighted with Dons win
MK Dons assistant manager John Gorman paid tribute to his side after they started life without Aaron Wilbraham in style with a comfortable 2-0 win over managerless Bristol Rovers.Daniel Powell was given a rare start by boss Karl Robinson after striker Wilbraham joined Norwich on Friday and he opened the scoring with a 20-yard bullet.Peter Leven finished Rovers off three minutes later with a low free-kick to leave Gorman more than satisfied.Gorman said: "We were delighted with the way we performed. The attitude of the players was fantastic - the manager, staff and the players have stuck by our principles."It's not often you get two good home wins on the trot because sometimes it's difficult to pull off one and then the other."We could have had the game almost won by half-time. Karl was encouraging the lads to go up a gear and try to get that third goal to finish the game off. It was a day where we should have really won more convincingly, with the chances that we made."
