Gleeson makes Eire team

MK Dons youngster Stephen Gleeson has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualification double-header this month.

Don Given gave Gleeson the nod following his fine form for the Dons and he will be considered for the games against Georgia in Dublin on Friday October 9, before travelling to Waterford to challenge Switzerland four days later.

He will miss the League One clash against Walsall on Saturday October 10.

If selected for the games, he stands to make his 12th and 13th appearance for the under-21 side.
