Gleeson hoping for Dons recall

Published: 19 Mar 2010 - 11:48:37

Gleeson made his return from an ankle injury as a late substitute at Brentford last weekend and will hope to have persuaded manager Paul Ince that he is fit enough to start against the Saints. Veteran defender Darren Powell remains some way short of fitness. The 33-year-old has been out since injuring his knee at the start of February and has now also picked up a groin problem. Striker Sam Baldock is also unavailable to Ince as he battles to recover from a knee injury so Aaron Wilbraham and Jermaine Easter will continue to start in attack. Wilbraham has scored three goals in the last two games and will be looking for more as the Dons look for a first win over Southampton in their fourth meeting this season.
