Gallen seals Dons departure
12 Jan 2009 - 15:53:36
Milton Keynes Dons have parted company with striker Kevin Gallen after the striker's contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Gallen leaves the club having made 49 appearances and scoring ten goals since arriving in the summer of 2007 from Plymouth.
Gallen joined Luton Town on loan in November, making nine appearances for the Hatters. This follows making eight outings for the Dons this term.
The much-travelled 33-year-old now becomes a free agent and is expected to sign permanently with Town.
Meanwhile, MK Dons defender Jude Stirling has extended his contract at the club. He has signed a deal to keep him at stadium:mk until June 2011.
The 26-year-old arrived at the club from Peterborough and has played 18 times this season, helping Roberto Di Matteo's side to second in the League One standings.
Stirling told the club's official website: "Ever since I arrived and I saw what the club was about and the people that work here, I knew I wanted to spend a long period of time in Milton Keynes.
"Seeing the way the club is moving forward, it's definitely the place to be."
