Dons swoop for Cummings

Milton Keynes Dons boss Roberto di Matteo has returned to his former club to sign Chelsea youngster Shaun Cummings on loan.

The 19-year-old defender joins the Dons on an initial one-month deal with a view to a longer arrangement.

Cummings has failed to break in to the first-team picture at Stamford Bridge although he has been with the club for the last seven years.

He was a regular in the Blues' reserve team last term, appearing in 18 matches and featured in the Dons' recent pre-season clash with Watford.
