MK Dons have snapped up experienced defender Matt Carbon following a successful trial at the League Two leaders.
Carbon, 32, has been without a club since leaving New Zealand Knights in January.
However, after impressing Dons boss Paul Ince during a recent trial period, the former Derby County and West Brom centre-half has been handed an initial two-month contract.
"It's a great opportunity for me at a club that is definitely moving the right direction," he told the club's official website.
"The gaffer was probably the main reason why I decided to sign after a long trial period and now I'm looking forward to repaying his faith in me.
"The first target for me is to stay injury free and give myself the best opportunity to get back playing first team football - which I feel I should be."
