MK Dons boss Roberto di Matteo is reported to have offered a contract to Canada international Ali Gerba, who has been on trial with the club recently.

The 26-year-old striker, who spent last season with German Second Division side FC Ingolstadt 04, has scored nine goals in 18 games for his country.

Gerba has enjoyed a nomadic career since starting out with his hometown club, Montreal Impact.

He has also played for MLS side Miami Fusion, Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Toronto Lynx as well as Swedish sides GIF Sundsvall and IFK Gothenburg.
