Dons decide against appeal

MK Dons will be without midfielder Flavien Belson for three games after deciding against appealing the red card he was shown during Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Bournemouth. The 21-year-old Frenchman was shown a straight red card after referee Anthony Taylor ruled that his 46th minute tackle on Brett Pitman was reckless. Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo suggested an appeal was likely after describing the dismissal as "harsh". But Belson will now miss home games with Carlisle United and Stockport County plus the trip to Crewe Alexandra after the club decided not to appeal the sending-off.
