Di Matteo snaps up City starlet

MK Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo believes Manchester City winger Donal McDermott will add some pace to his team after completing the loan signing of the 18-year-old.

McDermott joins the Dons on an initial one-month loan agreement and will be eligible to play in the club's League One and Johnstone's Paint Trophy matches.

Di Matteo told the club's official website: "Donal will give us some more options in wide areas and bring some added pace and quality to the team.

"We need to be patient with him because he's only 18, but he's an exciting player with a good background and I'm hopeful we can make the loan long-term."
