Boss Roberto Di Matteo believes that his MK Dons side's 1-0 Carling Cup first round win over Norwich City will help build confidence among his players.
A Sam Baldock goal proved decisive for the Dons, who had lost their opening League One game of the season 2-0 at Leicester City at the weekend.
Di Matteo commented: "I am very happy for the players. They have been working hard and they really deserved a win tonight.
"It was a cup game so we didn't get three points, but it was a big confidence boost. It is better to win than lose.
"Confidence can move mountains, so I hope they are going to take this in and learn that success is very sweet and hopefully they will like that taste."
