Better news for Lewington

MK Dons have moved quickly to allay fears that captain Dean Lewington is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The 24-year-old defender missed Tuesday's 3-0 victory against Hereford United with the ankle injury he picked up in the weekend clash with Walsall, but scans have shown the problem is not as serious as was first thought.

Assistant manager Eddie Newton said: "It's positive news on Lewie as he's not going to be out as long as we feared.

"I'm not going to give any dates because you never really know, but by all accounts it's not as bad as we all thought."
