Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Gareth Edds has won the backing of his manager Martin Allen, after some impressive recent displays.
The 25-year-old has been taken off the transfer list by Allen, having shown up well in the goalless draw at Walsall and the 3-1 win at Grimsby Town.
Allen told the Milton Keynes Citizen: "Gareth Edds has done fantastic in both games and I'm absolutely delighted with him.
"He and Keith Andrews have looked very good together in the middle."
Of Edds and the other players under the threat of the axe from the club, Allen added: "As I've said from day one they're under contract to us and if they do well, they'll get their chance.
"Then if they get it, they have to take it."
