    Allen axes seven Dons

    21 May 2007 - 13:29:45

MK Dons have allowed seven players to leave the club, following their League Two play-off defeat by Shrewsbury Town.

Boss Martin Allen has decided against offering new deals to Adolfo Baines, Lee Harper, Jamie Smith, Ben Harding, Ben Chorley, Nicky Rizzo and Gary Smith.

Striker Scott Taylor has also been told he can leave on a free transfer, but Dean Lewington and Kieran Murphy, Gareth Edds and Paul Mitchell have been offered fresh terms.

Meanwhile, Watford midfielder Dominic Blizzard has signed a two-year contract to turn his loan stay into a permanent one at the National Hockey Stadium.

The 23-year-old spent the last two months of the campaign with the Dons, having previously impressed while on loan at Stockport County.
