MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman has pledged to lift the gloom surrounding the city after England`s failed World Cup bid by completing stadium:mk within two years. The stadium was part of England`s unsuccessful bid for 2018 but Winkelman can now complete the ground and raise the capacity to nearly 32,000 after hearing the news from Zurich. He said: "We are totally fixated on finishing the stadium because when we do it will be a fantastic stadium. "We don`t have to take the roof off and fit a third tier now we are not hosting the World Cup so that is one positive. "We are trying to get our developments together and it's about finishing the development of the site, the roads, car parks and retail units as well as the stadium. "I also want to get the arena open so we have got our challenges over the next 18 months to two years."
