'We Got Away Lightly'

Paul Ince believed that The Dons had been lucky not to have been beaten even heavier at Carlisle. The Dons lost 5-0 at Brunton Park on Saturday but Ince thought the the home side could have won by an even bigger margin. "It could have been seven or eight, we got away lightly," the Dons boss said. "The fans don't deserve that. Some players tried their hardest and some didn't, and they won't be at the club next season. "You learn a lot about your players in defeat, and I've learnt a lot. I've said to the lads: 'You've let yourselves down, and let the club and fans down,' and all I can do is apologise. "That performance was unacceptable, and I have told the players in no uncertain terms. "We started brightly, and had a couple cleared off the line, but defensively we were poor."
